Promote your OnlyFans on networks that tolerate adult creators, mainly X and Reddit, and use Instagram and TikTok for personality with no sales pitch. Paid search ads are banned by OnlyFans itself. Follow each network's written rules, because a promotion that breaks them also breaks your OnlyFans terms.
The clause most guides skip
OnlyFans' Terms of Use say: "Any link promoting your Creator account must comply with our Terms of Service and the terms of service where you advertise." Read that twice. Breaking Instagram's or TikTok's rules isn't only a risk to that social account. It's a breach of your OnlyFans agreement, on the page that pays you.
The same section bans promoting your account with "Google Ads or any similar advertising platform or search engine advertising service". The policy also bars spamming and any suggestion that OnlyFans endorses you.
What each network allows
| Network | What's allowed | What isn't | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| X | Consensual adult content, labeled | Adult media in profile pictures and headers, mass unsolicited DMs | Main public channel |
| Adult posts in communities that allow them, labeled NSFW | Spam, vote manipulation, fake fan accounts | Search-like discovery | |
| Your life and style. Links to adult subscription sites are age-restricted. | Offers of adult content, links to explicit sites, high-frequency activity, buying accounts | Personality and trust | |
| TikTok | Clean content about your life or your work | Nudity, sexual services, sexualized behavior. Reporting says links to OnlyFans are barred too. | Reach with no link |
| Telegram | Your own private channel | Spam, and illegal adult content on public channels | Keeping fans close |
| Google and Bing search ads | Nothing for your page | Banned by OnlyFans' own terms | Skip it |
X: your main public channel
X permits consensually produced adult content if it's labeled and kept out of profile pictures and headers. Set your media as adult, post consistently and reply to people in your niche. Bulk unsolicited DMs break its spam rules. X is usually the simplest public home for an adult page, so most plans start here.
Good X accounts feel like a person. Post short teasers, jokes, polls and questions, and join other creators' threads. Save the sales links for the pinned post and the bio. Set up your account before you post anything.
Reddit: where fans go looking
Reddit's value is intent: people browse a community because they want exactly that thing. The platform rules ask you to take part authentically, to label adult content and not to deceive. Each community adds its own rules, often stricter, and moderators enforce them.
- Read every community's rules before your first post. Many ask for verification.
- Post from your own account, with your own name on it.
- Vary your posts. Repeating the same one across dozens of communities reads as spam.
- Skip fake "fan" accounts and bought upvotes. They break Rules 2 and 5 and can cost you the account.
Instagram: trust, not sales
Meta's solicitation policy bans content that offers adult material or gives ways to get it, and links to pornographic sites. It lists "sex chats/conversations" and "fetish/domination services" among banned offers. Links to adult subscription sites are limited to adults over 18. Its spam policy bans very high-frequency activity and buying accounts.
So use Instagram for the person: style, travel, training, humor. No prices, no menus, no suggestive sales captions. Treat it as the place a curious fan checks that you're real. Hand us access through official tools only, never by sharing a password, since Instagram's own terms forbid collecting other people's login details.
TikTok: reach, with no link to your page
TikTok's guidelines ban sexual services and limit body exposure and sexualized behavior for adults too. Rolling Stone reported that even third-party links to OnlyFans were barred. That report is old, so check the current rules, but the OnlyFans clause above means a workaround link isn't a safe bet. Use TikTok to build a name people search for elsewhere.
Collabs and paid shoutouts
A collab with a creator near your size puts you in front of people who already pay. Each person in the content needs verification, or ID and written consent. If money changes hands for a promotion on your page, label it with #ad or similar and name the brand and who paid. Avoid anyone selling guaranteed subscribers or bought followers.
A plan you can actually run
- Pick one main channel and one trust channel. For most pages, X and Instagram.
- Add Reddit once you've read the rules of five communities that fit your niche.
- Give each public account one job and one link.
- Put a tracking link on each source, so you see which one brings fans who pay.
- Check the numbers monthly and cut what doesn't bring buyers.
Every niche changes this plan. Fetish pages face tighter wording on Meta, cosplay travels well on clean platforms, and faceless pages lean on Reddit. On full management, we plan and schedule all of it from content you've approved. Want the work done for you? Apply here.
